Clematis 'The President'

Favoured by gardeners for well over a century, this free-flowering Clematis is covered with large, violet blue flowers in late spring and again in late summer. A versatile deciduous climber, it can decorate a pillar or pergola and also makes a stunning container plant with canes for climbing. Clematis do well when their their roots are kept cool and shaded from summer sun, so plant deeply and keep well watered in hot weather.
